OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung: 10,000 euros in support of family aftercare

25.11.2019 OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung: 10,000 euros in support of family aftercare

Renewed financial support for the aufwind e. V. Bunter Kreis Ludwigsburg

Again, in 2019 the OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung assumes social responsibility for the weakest members of society and once more supports the aufwind e. V. Bunter Kreis Ludwigsburg, an initiative of the Ludwigsburg children’s hospital and a member of the “Bunter Kreis” federal association. This non-profit association and its interdisciplinary team of paediatricians, health and paediatric nurses, social workers and psychologists cares for, advises and supports families with prematurely born, seriously ill or chronically ill children. It also provides those affected with security and stability in this stressful life situation.

As in previous years, the OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung in Bietigheim-Bissingen (in the Ludwigsburg district, in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany), will donate in 2019 as well a further 10,000 euros to the aufwind e. V. Bunter Kreis Ludwigsburg. The association offers parents and families domestic support in dealing with premature babies and severely or chronically ill children so as to improve the quality of life of these little patients and their family environment, and to contribute to the best possible coping with this difficult life situation.

“The well-being of children and young people is at the forefront of our comprehensive foundation work. Particularly in the case of serious children’s illnesses, a special contribution is required. It is a given that we will support the successful aufwind e. V. project again this year and to provide a further 10,000 euros in funds”, says Mathias Eggle, Managing Director of OLYMP Bezner KG and a member of the Advisory Board of the OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung.

The “aufwind e.V. Bunter Kreis Ludwigsburg” at the Ludwigsburg children’s hospital is a charitable aid project that guides, helps and supports around 100 families each year in the district of Ludwigsburg. The association’s primary goal is to improve inpatient conditions for parents and children at the Ludwigsburg Children’s Hospital and to offer a qualified aftercare concept for families of prematurely born, seriously ill or chronically ill children in their homes. It thus represents a professional, expert link between the sickroom and the children’s room.

At the same time, the focus is not just on the sick child and its parents, but includes the entire family environment including siblings and relatives, on whom the symptoms can have both a physical and psychological impact. The aim is to enable the families concerned to receive expert advice and medical support from qualified staff who have medical and psychological training, and to guarantee skilled assistance.

The OLYMP-Bezner-Stiftung, established in 2008 by the family of Eberhard, Birgit and Mark Bezner with a basic capital of one million euros, has continued to demonstrate its positive commitment to charitable causes through its financial support for numerous projects all over the world.
