In your opinion, what are the top culture spots that you need to see at least once?
As it happens, I’m not strictly a culture junkie, but what anyone should definitely see is the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell. And when you’re out and about in the city, then it’s worth walking to the Arc de Triomf and the Parc de la Ciutadella, which borders on it. What makes Barcelona so special for me are the small, narrow and, above all, tall streets you find between the buildings with the unique architecture. My absolute favourite spot in Barcelona is, without a doubt, the beach promenade and the beach itself.
Which restaurant/café is a must to visit?
If you go in for healthy food (bowls, smoothies) during the day, want to eat the tastiest burger in Barcelona in the evening or fancy drinking a cocktail right on the beach promenade, you can’t go wrong with the Surf House. For me, it’s the most happening spot when it comes to eating in Barcelona. Though remember: in the evening, either be prepared to wait or make a reservation!
If you like to while away the evening in a beach bar – with a view of the Barcelona seafront – you shouldn’t miss visiting the Salt Restaurant & Beach Club right next to the W Barcelona hotel. It is the perfect location to watch the sun go down. In addition, you can have dinner in the restaurant and fish off with a cocktail directly on the beach.
