Metropol Parasol, an organic construction made of imported Finnish birch wood, was completed in the medieval part of Seville in 2011. Its mushroom-like form is today one of the hallmarks of the Andalusian capital.
This new urban centre allows a variety of activities such as culture, leisure and commerce, utilizing the four different levels of the building. On the fourth level, its fungal form clearly appears together with a panoramic view of the city beneath it.
